Puppy is guaranteed to be in good health and free from inherited defects that would preclude the pup from fulfilling it’s purpose as a family & hunting companion. This would include inherited hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, SAS or juvenile cataracts.  Should the pup develop any of these conditions to the degree that it could not perform in the field without medical intervention, the breeder would refund the purchase price, provided the animal was neutered so as to not perpetuate these defects. All clearances must be done by 27 months of age.  Any requests for refunds must be made within 30 days of having failed any clearance.  Breeder/co-breeder reserves the right to require additional verification of the condition.

As joint formation is a combination of inherited traits and environmental conditions, it is agreed that the  puppy will be raised following the guidelines set out in a separate paper titled “Raising a sound puppy.”

The breeder does not in anyway represent that this or any pup from our kennel is guaranteed to be “future breeding stock.” All pups are sold with limited  registration with the AKC.  Should the buyer wish to breed the dog in the future, the breeder &/or co-breeder requires proof of all health clearances (OFA hips & elbows, CERF & PRA clear for eyes, ARCH heart clearance, normal thyroid) and evidence that the dog has matured into an exceptional family hunting companion.  At that time the breeder &/OR co-breeder agree to notify AKC to change the status to “full registration.”  Costs for all clearances are the responsibility of the buyer.
